Note: Phillipe Halsman was a very well known photographer whose works relating to Salvador Dali are especially well known. In 1951 Halsman visited Henri Matisse and took a number of photographs of the artist who was then elderly and rather sick. Some of these showed Matisse in his bed from which he still painted.
