Notes: The Annely Juda Gallery has represented David Hockney for many years. Between 1st May and 11th July 2009 they put on a show in which the artist once again explored the possibilities of new technology. It consisted of 28 Limited Edition prints which the artist has made on his computer using Photoshop and Graphics Tablet. The show - on two floors off the Gallery - included 10 landscapes from Hockney’s Yorkshire home-land (from which the present example comes) and 18 portraits. “There are advantages and disadvantages to anything new in mediums for artists,” says David Hockney, “but the speed allowed here with colour is something new.”
