Original Lithograph, 1978, on Japan Nacre paper, signed by the artist in pencil
Note: This artist, much collected by the Japanese, is commonly connected with two major themes: horse and women with flowers. This depicts the tranquil image of a young woman picking pink flowers with horses and fields behind. Compositionally it is very simple but the effect is rather dramatic.
Literature: Roland Doschka “L’Oeuvre Lithgographie 1958 - 1981” Number 121
Size: 540 x 760 mms
Edition: Artists proof. There were 175 proofs on Arches and 150 on Japon.
Condition: It has the brown mount tape remaining on the back around the edges. You can see in some parts it ‘overhangs’ the edges so would need to be mounted not floated. Some slight time toning where the mount stopped, otherwise looks good. Pencil title written verso.
