Edition: EA (Artists proof): This was made before the poster edition of 3100 with text. The Sorlier Catalogue says that there were a few “avant les lettres” proofs made beefier the poster edition. Since there was no signed and numbered edition of this work made our present example is treater a rare one.

Note: This item was an avant les lettre poster for an exhibition held at the Galerie des Ponchettes, 77 Quai des Etats Unis, Nice, between 10th July and 16th August 1970. It was Lithographed by Charles Soprlier, a principal Chromatist in Mourlot Freres, after a painting by Marc Chagall. Chagall supervised, approved and signed the finished prodiuct.
